Fireworks have been such a source of joy for me ever since I was a little girl. This year, especially these last 4 months during the pandemic have been overwhelming to say the least.
There has been so much darkness around us. I am trying to find little ways to let a little light sparkle in my life, even if its done in a non-traditional way.
Here is a firework inspired dress I put together using the DIY costume kit from Ants on a Melon, Inc.
Not only are these kits incredible for making a one-of-a-kind glowing costume unlike anything anyone’s ever seen! BUT I have two toddlers who love when I shut off the lights and twirl these glowing / color changing fiber optic wands around. It’s like we found a way to create our own magical fireworks show in our living room.
It brings back that feeling of wonder and joy, being a little kid, walking through Disneyland at night during the Main Street Electrical Parade.
