Today on the Let Yourself Sparkle Podcast, I share an incredible journey I went on this week where I Connected to the Akashic Records through an energy healing guided meditation. I was able to experience a past life regression where I Connected with my subconscious mind.
For those of you who don’t know- and I’d only heard the term this month- the Akashic Records is a collection of all universal events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present or future…. It is believed that they are encoded in a non-physical plane of existence that we can Connect with through part of our brains that holds all this information about us and our lives and even past lives.
Past life regression therapy, Is something I have been wanting to do ever since I read the book Only Love is Real– by Brian Weiss—he also wrote the book- Many Lives, Many Masters. For those of you who do not know about Brian Weiss and his books, I highly recommend looking into it. It’ll reframe the way you look at things.
Anyway, I am grateful I had the opportunity to Connect with my higher self this week and what I saw was so profound, I’m still processing it.
So the point of this experience was to go back to a time where I felt love, joy, peace, comfort so that the memory could bring awareness to a part of myself that’s missing, or needs healing.
Finally when I was in the meditative state, I saw myself- in a world that frankly seemed empty and boring.
My home, the setting, everything seemed unremarkable.
Bland. Simple. it was a time way before phones, there was no music. No television, no computers. There was really nothing.
I kept wondering what was so special about this life? I knew the point of the journey was to see myself at a time where I felt joy, and love – but as hard as I tried to look around and see the party or the excitement, or the abundance, I couldn’t see it. Sure there were other people. But my only interactions with them were smiles or a wave from a distance.
Suddenly I saw myself sitting on a rock by a river.
I was glowing. Totally radiant. I absolutely looked at peace, and happy. But I couldn’t comprehend what was so good.
I thought to myself- in the life I have now, I’m surrounded by love – I have my husband and my kids, I’m surrounded by hugs and kisses and moments that make me laugh and we do fun things. I have a beautiful home, and we live in a gorgeous place, and have access to places much prettier than this. What in the world was so good about this life?
And then I had a conversation with myself in that life. I interrupted that glowing – radiant version of myself, sitting content on the edge of the water.
I asked. What is so special about this?
And the response I got, was so profound.
I heard- “don’t you get it?”
“Don’t you see?”
“I have everything I need.”
“There’s nothing I want.”
And then it hit me.
Every moment of every day, I have so many thoughts in my head.
I am constantly waiting for an email response, or a phone call, money to come in, or some form of validation. I have a list of things I want, and need, and endless to do lists. My mind is full of excitement, worry, fear, regret. Even during this experience, I had a lot of random thoughts that popped into my mind. People I need to call back. Bills I need to pay.
And there I was. I saw myself, somewhere in a past life. Completely at peace. Fulfilled, content, comfortable. Radiating joy. Feeling the breeze on my skin, and the water beneath my toes.
There was no where else I needed to be, nothing on my mind. I was just present and fully at peace.
Sometimes we need to be reminded that all these things were waiting for, the raise, the validation, the wants, the needs…. They’re all meaningless.
Because if we stop all the mind chatter, wed realize we actually already have what we need. And the goal is to feel present and content and fulfilled wherever we are.
