Today on the Let Yourself Sparkle Podcast, I talk about how if we truly want to thrive – not just for the night, but everyday– we need to be consistent with our self care.
No two people are alike. We all have different things light us up, and we also require different things in order to survive.
It is so important to understand your needs, and muster up not just the inspiration, but the consistency- to show up and do the things you need to do- be it getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, a spiritual or creative practice, regular exercise, sobriety, taking your SSRI or antipsychotic medication, being in nature, spending time in silence, eating nutrient rich foods, or dancing around in the silliest way- on your roller skates.
You know yourself better than anyone else. I want to encourage you to remain consistent with doing the things that you know enable you to thrive, even when times are hard, or life is so good that you feel you don’t need them anymore!
As a fashion designer- I used to just focus on lighting people up for one special night.
But now I understand that the goal is to get you to shine EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIFE. Even when life throws you curves.
Remaining consistent with your healthy habits, will fuel you with resilience, enable you to ride out the difficult waves of life, and get you in the flow- so that you can truly live your best life.
