Today on the Let Yourself Sparkle Podcast,  I talk about the fear of missing out, and I share a story of when I said “no” to making a dress for Tyra Banks.

It’s not always easy to make a decision, especially when it’s not black and white. Getting the call from Tyra’s stylist, asking me to custom design her one of my signature electrical light up fiber optic gowns was an absolute dream come true, it would have launched my career as a designer to a new level. It would have been on TV, it would have led to more and greater projects. But during the pandemic, with my priority on my children and self care, I had to say no, and while that door closed, I allowed others to open. I am grateful and honored beyond belief to have received that phone call, and one day, when the time is right, I would love the opportunity to make her an incredible glowing dress! I believe what’s meant to be will be, and it’s important to pay attention to your highest choice in the present moment, and let go of the fear of missing out, because the truth is– when you say yes to something, you say no to something else, and the other way around.
